Our 2013 Conference was held on September 21st. We have left the 2013 information on the website to give you an idea of what the MHA Conference is like. Please check back for more details about the 2014 Conference next summer!

2013 Schedule & Workshops

The annual conference is the cornerstone event of MHA’s homeschooling year. We work hard to offer something for every member, no matter if you’re still wet behind the ears, a seasoned pro, homeschooling toddlers, teens or anything in between!

Workshops — Learn about a new program, get expert advice, be guided by a seasoned homeschooler — these are just a few of the things you’ll find happening in our sessions. We offer dozens of new workshops each year covering a wide range of topics specifically aimed at enriching your homeschool journey.

In response to feedback, we’re trying a different format in 2013 with more time for workshops in place of a keynote address so that you can better tailor the day to fit your personal learning needs!

Community Building — You asked for more time to network and we heard you. A building filled with homeschoolers is by far one of the best parts of the day! Whether it is a casual conversation during lunch or a focused drop-in time facilitated just to help you connect with other homeschoolers, we’ll provide you with even more options for building a network of support for yourself and your kids this year.

Exhibitor Hall — Refresh your homeschool planning and resources via our exhibitors! Talk to coordinators of local homeschool classes and programs, page through new curriculum or books, and connect with interesting organizations. Go home with a few new things to try with your family, or simply refresh your stock of activity ideas. Either way, we have an interesting variety of exhibitors to inspire you!

And, based on last year’s feedback, we have built a little more room into the schedule so that you can stroll the exhibitor area without missing out on other activities.

MHA’s goal is that our members leave the conference feeling re-energized to go home and continue their homeschooling year full of new ideas, exciting new connections and renewed enthusiasm for the important work of helping our kids learn all they can!

Cost:
Includes four workshop sessions, buffet lunch, and afternoon beverage break, plus loads of meeting and connecting with homeschooling friends.
