The former Water Park of America is now part of the nation’s largest waterpark chains, Great Wolf Lodge. Following a 10-month, $30 million renovation, Great Wolf Lodge opened to the public in late 2017 with several new restaurants, including a Dunkin’ Donuts. Guests will notice several major changes to the resort, including a new aerial ropes course, the mini bowling alley, a MagiQuest live adventure game and a candy spa. Unlike Water Park of America, Great Wolf requires people to book a room to gain access to the water park. Individual water park tickets can’t be purchased, unless they’re an add-on to a family staying in the hotel.
The Bloomington resort just a mile away from the Mall of America is so much more than your average indoor water park. There are amazing slides and pristine pools, as well as kid friendly activities, attractions, shopping and dining options that your entire family is sure to love.
Relaxed rooms and suites offer Wi-Fi, TVs and sofabeds, as well as microwaves, minifridges and coffeemakers. Some rooms have a log cabin theme. Upgraded suites add separate lounges, and sleep up to 12 people. Water park passes are free. A $15.99 daily resort fee covers Wi-Fi, parking and gym access. Other amenities consist of 3 casual eateries and 3 bars. Kids’ activities and games are available.
